Comte De Monte Cristo

Here rests the thoughts of an immortal, making of what the world hath thrown at him.

"My dear count," cried Morcerf, "you are at fault--you, one of the most formidable logicians I know--and you must see it clearly proved that instead of being an egotist, you are a philanthropist. Ah, you call yourself Oriental, a Levantine, Maltese, Indian, Chinese; your family name is Monte Cristo; Sinbad the Sailor is your baptismal appellation, and yet the first day you set foot in Paris you instinctively display the greatest virtue, or rather the chief defect, of us eccentric Parisians,--that is, you assume the vices you have not, and conceal the virtues you possess."

Silent Killer Status Revived.

Thanks to weihua who reminded me about those silent killer tactics of the good old days. I think she proberbly gets to fight alot of those right now since she can no longer be a silent killer given her current standing. We shall not go into detail what is this special tactic.

Molecular genetics is just hell too long, I should have just put them together in one pile each of diagrams and notes and not diagrams slotted in between notes and binded. Utter depressing, I dont even have the slightest idea on whats going to come out.

Might do some spying tomorrow to see hows the battlefield going to be like and the state of the opposing army.... Information determines who gains the upper hand.

Still sick DAY 4

DAY 4 of my illness, I have passed acme stage of disease just yesterday... and now proceeding to decline phase. I think this is a virus or viral infection. I dont suppose my body defences are coping well since 4 days is a long time wasted.

I have a Plant science test tomorrow.... and I lost ONE of my notes. LOST objects category expanding by the weeks I spent in school.

I no longer dream of anything too, not even about the future. This worries me, am I reaching the end of my road? I want to sequence my own immortality gene!

Maybe im Lazy, actually im ill.

I slept for 14 hours yesterday, which I was baffled by why I became so tired. However for today, the moment I woke up I knew what was wrong, I have a sore throat. A sore throat is actually a sign of bacterial/viral infection, which means yesterday I proberbly underwent an incubation period therefore my body slowed down considerably.

Tomorrows test really means life and death. There was dissapointment for Biochem techniques because I was supposed to do better but didnt, and there was some dissapointment for the online datasheet for Plant science practical, I marginally failed.

Well I hope I will achieve better results to bolster the 2.5 something GPA to something substantial enough to mantain.

Webcam but something went missing.

As I type I am having a webcam session with cheng, who is amused by the things found in my room.

BUT I realised I lost my IPAQ damn it. I have no idea where it went and my worst fears are that it might be stolen! Thats the worst thing that can happen but hopefully not. Especially since the pencil box incident I was very careful about all my belongings, but such things still happen.

Its kinda amazing how things go missing so quickly.... I hate it went my valuable stuff goes missing, Just makes me have to use the not so valuable stuff to replace them.

Plant Experiments again + Welcome Back

As usual to those who know me well, I am famous for the amount of plants on my study table in my own room. Last year I was doing experiments with a common mint plant and their potiential to swamp pots (like weeds). Conclusion was it was under some plant fertiliser because it was not as succesful as I thought, but I now discovered I did something wrong. Because I wanted to see a bushy mint plant, I didn't prune it or pinch the tips. So therefore here is my 2nd experiment involving another type of plant, which I am not sure what it is because I couldnt really identify it.

I placed the plants in glass containers of water in which there are marbles for stability. I let them grow their adventitious roots for 2 weeks in which they would start to grow new leafs from their apical meristems. I used a total of 4 cuttings from the mother plant. At the first day of the third week I removed the terminal apical meristem of 2 of the stalks just before the auxillary buds. The reason I did this is to see whether the plant would "branch" by this method so I could achieve a "bushy" plant instead of a tall spindly one. Now is week 5 and there have been no results on the 2 pinched plants of mine although the auxillary buds near the cut off point seems to have grown only slightly bigger than the rest at the lower nodes.

Its so fun to do these things and having the liberty to conduct such explorations in my own room. If this is successful, I will buy another mint plant to try my luck.

Welcome back my friend Peishan who seems to have redone her blog, her link was broken a while back btw. Its a nice clean not so dark blog skin... which is good. I havent changed my blogskin for ... 2 years now or more.

I like to keep things simple and easy to read. Its good to blog because you can read back what happened one year ago and reminicence the past.

Falling out of my favour.

I do not habour a hatred for people who commit mistakes, but if one commits them endlessly with no reason for not knowing why, I will isolate you from us.

One of my classmates has increasingly unknowingly tried to emulate the usage of firmness in which I use daily as a way to lead people in the right direction. Apparently it failed miserably as he could not understand the right timing and event to utilise that skill. However, I am not angry towards this person as he is socially inaept and much without knowledge of decorum and manners. He is a person with no artistic abilities, no reasonable amount of general knowledge, no affinity for langauges and does not know the social system. I can only be so much of a teacher as the rest is up to the person to decide.

To be firm is not to be confused with fiery tempers. Also one must carefully observe the tone of the voice, the setting of the situation and the other circumstances encircling matters before making a move. One must also not forget that once a wrong move is made, you will never have a chance to take it back. Still I am beginning to isolate from this classmate of mine. Friendship is an agreement of sorts which the initial terms of agreement should be "checked" by both parties. Once this agreement breaks, the "friendship" can also be called off. You can truly put this person under the "friends of utility" category as I must still work with these "friends" even though I might not favour them.

That is part of our social game. The moment of birth we play this game till our death and so will our sons and daughters.

Posts are rather short.

I noticed my posts are getting progressively shorter, and the amount of people reading my blog progressively more. Also I noticed that Peishan and Hamster Tok had deleted their blogs or something so there links are now broken. Which is a sad thing.

People can actually selectively blog stuff for the public to see, like idealogies, philosophies and other comments that aren't that inflammatory towards those "targetted" people. If you do not like people to read what you think about them, just leave those parts out.

Lectures today were strange, time passed like sand through the hourglass... so are the days of our lives, well that is so passe but I had to use that. People are stealing my catch phrases again that I had solely invented for the purpose of conducting diplomatic relations with my classmates, but this is a good thing too, as I can get my creative juices flowing again and make new ones.

Music wise, May please pass me the scores as soon as possible, as usual the same procedures follows, if in the event of I didn't practice the pieces for ensemble ... I will definitely be absent for practices as its a waste of my time and everything.

To those people who are curious about the shampoo I use ... Well my shampoo is not the thing that smells nice (Sebamed shampoo smells like it came out from some hospital). The perfume I wear is what you guys have been smelling all these years. I got 3 perfumes I rotate around throughout the week, so I dont smell the same everyday. Polo Ralph Lauren "blue", CK one and Body shop's Kistna. Although I haven't really been using the latter one because the perfume seemed to have taken an alcholic overtone maybe because It was bought like 3 years ago or more.

Maybe zhijia can use that last perfume, a relief to the whole world indeed.

Lost Pencil Case

I lost one muji pencil box white in colour with my ROFINA quartz pocket watch inside, a kyoto kiyo mizu dera talisman and numerous pens and pencils.

Well im not so worried about it though ... maybe because I know I could easily buy back those items I lost... or even better but better ones.

But I still wish it will appear somehow.

I didnt do any revision AT all these few days. Was supposed to do it but I didnt, which isnt a good sign, same goes for piano, no progress. Seems like time to lock myself up in my room WITHOUT the computer switched on for once.
