Here rests the thoughts of an immortal, making of what the world hath thrown at him.

"My dear count," cried Morcerf, "you are at fault--you, one of the most formidable logicians I know--and you must see it clearly proved that instead of being an egotist, you are a philanthropist. Ah, you call yourself Oriental, a Levantine, Maltese, Indian, Chinese; your family name is Monte Cristo; Sinbad the Sailor is your baptismal appellation, and yet the first day you set foot in Paris you instinctively display the greatest virtue, or rather the chief defect, of us eccentric Parisians,--that is, you assume the vices you have not, and conceal the virtues you possess."

What if God was never existant? The spirit of doubt flutters on my mind. Society is the rule of heaven. If the king is right, Heaven will cease its disasters. Heaven chooses the Kings on earth, these leaders of men. The Kings and heaven itself is ruled by fate, and God alone is both fate and ruled by it.

The King is immortal, the subjects of the king immortal. Only if the King looses the way, does the king loose his immortality. And thus is the history of man. Man will destroy himself because the will of God is so. And fate and God are ruled simultaneously in harmony, depending on each other for its own existance. Set forth its rule to heaven and earth is such the power that heaven alone can decide. All these powers that reign on heaven can be brought down one day to the level on earth, however it will not be possible to be perfect as my ideas are coming from and imperfect mind.
