Book List September 2006.... Relationships.
Issue 1: Booklist
To those close friends of mine who know what a strange interest I have in buying, reading and collecting books this holidays is the same as the previous few. Ok here goes my very short booklist for this september which is already HALF ending.
1) The Secret Life of Germs
2) Freakonomics
3) Le Comte De Monte Cristo (again....)
Been eyeing those first two books for a very long time but always had no money to buy. When I did have the money I spent it on outings with my friends and some self indulgences like Sushi etc etc. The last book, Alexander Dumas's Count of Monte Cristo, I had read it through last year although it was ardiously longwinded and saturated with flowery early victorian styled sentence structure which makes it a heck a chore to read. I still do want to own these three books and add it to my collection.
Issue 2: Blogosphere
Been scanning through the blogosphere and seen and read many strange things people actually post on their blogs. Some blogs are meticulously maintained, neat and concise, others are a haphazard sludge of what seems like spur of the moment mumbo jumbo mixed with fan service of some sort.
Issue 3: Foresight and the Future
Been talking to my best friend of many years, Baron Shaobasodk. Shaobasodk said that he wants to persue a part time degree and work at the same time citing his inspiration to gain material wealth through sustainable investment as a means to achieve that goal. Now I have to say that this is a risky and uncertain future. I see no reason he should do so and instead if he has the chance should persue a full time degree as his family is actually rather well off. Although this is a conflict of ideas now, I am sure he will see why it is not the best interest to do the former in the near future when he matures more and probably can picture his future with greater clarity.
Issue 4: People and their Relationship Problems (girlfriends or boyfriends).I cannot see why the children of today yearn so much for relationships with the opposite sex (or otherwise). First we have to consider the Economics, Social and Overall Viability of such relationships. Economically speaking, some of my friends seem overtly desperate to get into relationships and cite reasons as they just like the person. Surely, there is nothing wrong with liking a person and this is perfectly fine. However one has to realise the initiation and mantainance of such relationships requires material resources. As students, this is not viable as the money actually comes from our parents. With much thinking and foresight one has to consider what actually is the eventual goal of the relationship. To have relationships just to be with the "in" crowd is an absolute disaster. Why am I saying this now because at 18, 19 years of age the important thing to do now is to study to get a proper education. Everything will fall inplace once the foundation is set right.

Issue 5: Closure
Rethinking of my past actions I found it regrettable that I did and did not do certain things. Many things concerning education I simply did not put in effort. Delving in religion and the likes where the answers are never found and simply diverted to haunt you back. And finally it can be said that I simply wasted my years away. Now Is the time the path is set right.
